Bola2--The 32-year-old overcame an injury nightmare - lasted more than a year and took in two knee ligament operations - to score the opening goal in his country's 3-0 win in Turkey just two minutes into the first leg of their Euro 2012 play-off.

However, he has struggled to break into the Bayern side since returning from his lengthy lay-off, with the Bavarian giants leading the Bundesliga courtesy of a record-breaking start to the campaign.

With the convincing victory in Istanbul leaving Olic with one eye already on next summer's finals in Poland and Ukraine, Olic believes his performance in the first leg proves he is both ready for and needs ready for regular football once again.

"This game confirms my opinion," he told Suddeutsche Zeitung. "If my situation does not change, then I will try to leave this winter. I can still play two more years at the highest level." Eurosport
