Bola2--The Germany international had a plate inserted into his right shoulder after being taken off on a stretcher during Bayern's 3-2 Champions League victory over Napoli at the start of November.
Schweinsteiger is not expected to play for Bayern again in 2011 as the Bundesliga shuts down for the winter on December 18.
However, the midfielder says he is making encouraging progress as he targets a return in the New Year.
"It's going well," Schweinsteiger told Bavarian television. "I do not feel pain.
"The surgeon did a good job. Now it's a matter of time before everything fits into place."
Schweinsteiger says that day-to-day life has been complicated by the repercussions of the injury.
He said he struggles with "putting on socks, putting on shoes, tying a knot in a tie or putting gel in my hair, I have to use my left hand so am dependent on support."
